It’s the Tonight Show!

Today Kate and I woke up, got ready, and then ventured up North to Burbank to attend a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno! Seriously you guys, I was SO excited. I have been an avid Leno fan for years!
We made it to the NBC studies in good time and got in line for the show. We waited for an hour and a half and then they gave us our numbers, we were #35 & #36. The studio was amazing (and freezing)! Jay came out while everyone was still getting seated wearing his denim get-up and let people come and get pictures taken. He also went through the audience shaking and thanking the various members who’ve served in the military. I BAWLED. The show was really funny, and Jay was just as cool as I thought he’d be.
(#dailydoseofgratitude – my crazy life!)
Oh ya, Marion Cotillard was the guest star – what a BABE.

Advice for day of the show?
– Try to get there around noon. The audience holding area opens at 11am, but Kate and I got there around 12:30. There were plenty of people in front of us in line, but we still got amazing seats – third row, middle stage.
– They totally profile the audience when deciding to seat you. The people sitting on the floor were almost all young, hipster looking kids. Although, there was one kid who looked like he had JUST rolled out of bed. Who knows? The “pages” seat you all over! I am just happy that we got in!
– You can pay $5 to park in the lot right next to Johnny Carson Park. It is super close and cheap – doooo it.

LOVES,

B
