I’m in two book clubs and they both met this week. Last night we discussed war story The Zookeepers Wife and tonight we discussed The Gifts of Imperfection. Feeling empowered and purely loved after hanging with two bad ass groups of girls — if you’re not in a book club, I recommend it. img_6148

Also, as mentioned in the headline, today is my last day of the September Whole30. It has gone by SO quickly — seriously feels like just yesterday I was posting about starting another round again. Got Melissa Hartwig’s new book in the mail — will post thoughts after I read it. P.s. in case you were wondering, this is what my kitchen has looked like for the last 30 days. Saturday night’s dinner menu: pan-cooked chicken breast cooked in coconut oil + seasoned with lemon pepper, roasted gold potatoes covered in EVOO + salt + pep, boiled (ew?) broccoli seasoned with garlic salt + a little bit of ghee and sautéed mushrooms cooked in ghee with a pinch of salt with whole30 ranch + Tessemae’s bbq sauce. My fave guy had to make a pit stop in the heart hospital today — everything went well (phew!) & now he can continue bugging me for years to come.screen-shot-2016-09-20-at-10-20-17-pm Since I have been little scatterbrained for the last week, my Whole30 meals have been easy and repeated. I had this exact thing for lunch + dinner: cauli rice cooked in coconut oil with cilantro, topped with ground turkey + guacamole. Some may say boring, I say deeeeeeelish.img_5935I really love my subscription to Ipsy and the random/fun things I get in the mail every month.
